I believe that Walden’s vision, mission, and social message change message relate to my academic and professional goals. A Doctoral (DNP) degree prepares nursing professionals with an advanced level of knowledge in their practice fields (AACN, 2015). Nurse Practitioners who seek the doctoral degree are able to solve the multifaceted encounters in the healthcare field in order to provide high-quality services to the patients and high competence in leadership with coworkers (AACN, 2015). Also, the doctorate-prepared Nurse Practitioner is able to take part in research studies and update the evidence-based practice in order to improve the readiness of their practice to solve various problems, which patients and nursing colleges might face on daily basis (Walden University,). By completing the doctorate program, Nurse Practitioners will have the highest-level competence in nursing care, evidence-based practice, and problem-solving skills to address complex needs of care in patients, nursing staff, and healthcare facilities through an effective leadership style
